The hilarious face-changing app, FaceApp, has been around for quite some time, but has only really just made its way back into the limelight – all thanks to celebrities! It seems as though celebs can't get enough of making themselves look older than they actually are, and we're totally here for it. While many of us have tried FaceApp ourselves (with hilarious results), there's nothing quite like seeing our favorite celebs looking decades older than they really are. Some of them look pretty much the same, with a few wrinkles and gray hairs. Whereas others look like the party life of Hollywood has really got to them.

Dozens of celebs have flocked to social media to show off their older selves, whereas others have been 'FaceApped' by fans. Whether they filtered their pictures themselves or someone else has done it for them, there's no denying that the results are side-splittingly funny. We're expecting sales of anti-aging cream to skyrocket are people see what these celebs look like with the old-age filter on.

Robert Downey Jr.

American actor Robert Downey Jr. will always be Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man) to us. However, it's a bit strange to see what he looks like with the age filter on. His face is wrinkled, his hair has gone white, and he even has a turkey neck!

However, what is even stranger is that people who saw this photo couldn't help noticing how much he looked like Stan Lee – the late, great creative mastermind at Marvel. Stan Lee was known for cropping up in Marvel films, so perhaps we've all been tricked, and this is him after all? Nope, it's definitely still Robert Downey Jr. Spooky!

Chris Hemsworth

The Hemsworth brothers are renowned for their good looks and Australian accents, and Chris is arguably the most famous since taking on the role of Thor in the MCU. This FaceApp filter gives us a little insight into what happens when you age the God of Thunder.

Is it just us, or does he look like another actor in the aged photo? We're thinking Pierce Brosnan! Whoever he looks like, there's no denying that this Aussie actor is going to age gracefully. Like a fine wine or a good cheese. We bet his wife Elsa Pataky was pleased to see what her husband will potentially look like in the future.

Paul Rudd

There's a running joke in Hollywood that actor Paul Rudd just doesn't age. Look back at some of his earliest movies, such as Clueless and Romeo + Juliet, and compare it to his most recent roles, such as his part as Ant-Man in the MCU films. He looks pretty much the same, right?!

However, there's no hiding from the FaceApp filter, and so we've finally got an insight into what Paul Rudd could actually look like in the future. Considering the left is what he looks like at 50, we can only guess that the app assumes he's going to live until about 120 to look like that!

Lady Gaga

We had a sneaking suspicion that pop princess Lady Gaga was going to look just as glamorous older as she does now. It seems as though FaceApp thinks the same, too! She has that kind of vibe about her, where you just know she'll make the coolest grandma on the planet.

In fact, other than a bit of sagging skin, we can't really tell much difference between her now and what she might look like in the future. We hope she's still rocking meat dresses and huge platforms heels when she's in her 80s. We can't imagine Lady Gaga any other way!

Kevin Hart

They say that you shrink as you get older, in which case comedian and actor Kevin Hart should be very afraid. The 5 ft 3 comedy legend is always being picked on by his best friend Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson for his height, and we can just imagine these two carrying on the fun when they're both old and gray.

We have to admit, Hart is looking pretty good as an older guy! He seems to be able to rock the silver fox look and barely has any wrinkles – other than a few laughter lines. When you work in the comedy industry, we feel like those laughter lines are well earned.

Tom Holland

Wow. Just wow. This British actor may only be 23 now, but it seems as though FaceApp has aged him more than a few decades! He actually looks like he could be in his 70s or 80s in the photo on the right.

While he may play up to his youthful good looks now, particularly in the MCU movies as Spider-Man, it seems as though time may not be too kind on the Brit. Perhaps there's something about Spidey senses that age you faster than you'd hoped. The line "I don't feel so good…" from Infinity War springs to mind.

Kim Kardashian

When you're part of one of the most famous families in the world, you can afford to ensure you have the best anti-aging regimen out there. Sure, it might involve a little bit of (ahem) outside help, but you do what you gotta do!

If she does decide to age without any help, however, then this is what FaceApp thinks Kim Kardashian could look like. If you ask us, we think she looks pretty glam as a gran! We get some kind of Donatella Versace vibes off of her. No? We wonder if she'll still be wearing disco ball dresses in her 80s.

The Jonas Brothers

It seems like the Jonas Brothers are getting older and more mature every day; especially now that they're all getting married and having babies. They may all be in their late 20s and early 30s now, but here is an insight into what FaceApp thinks they'll look like when their children have children of their own.

We have to admit, some of the brothers look like they're going to age a bit better than others. To be fair to Kevin, he does already have two children, so perhaps they've run him ragged by the time he reaches retirement age?

Ryan Gosling

It's strange to think of Ryan Gosling as anything other than a young heartthrob in films such as The Notebook and La La Land. However, not even Hollywood stars can avoid the ticking clock that comes with aging. We kind of imagined Ryan Gosling would grow old gracefully, a bit like another silver fox in Hollywood… George Clooney.

He definitely has that kind of look about him in this FaceApp photo. Eva Mendes, his long-term partner since 2011, will probably be thanking her lucky stars that she's the one that gets to grow old with him!

Elijah Wood

He's the kind of actor that doesn't seem to change looks-wise since he rose to fame as a child actor in movies like Avalon and The Adventures of Huck Finn. Elijah Wood's biggest claim to fame was obviously playing Frodo Baggins in The Lord of The Rings franchise, and he's been associated with that hobbit character ever since.

Ever wondered what hobbits look like when they get really, really old? Well, this FaceApp filter should give you a little bit of an insight. Other than a few wrinkles, we can't really tell much of a difference.

Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves is an actor making a huge comeback right now. He was a big hit in the late '80s in the Bill and Ted movies, then again in the late '90s with The Matrix films. Now, he's back in the headlines again for being in movies such as the John Wick franchise, and for just generally being a sweetheart.

If you don't believe us, look for photos of Keanu Reeves not touching women. It's adorable. However, it doesn't look like time has been kind to the Canadian actor if this photo is anything to go by.

Kit Harrington as Jon Snow

On the left, we have the Jon Snow who knows nothin', and on the right, we have the Jon Snow who looks like he knows everything. This guy has seen some serious things, and it's undoubtedly aged him quite a lot.

Of course, for those of you who are up to date with the Game of Thrones finale, you'll know where Snow is and what his plans are for the future. The chilly North can play havoc with your skin – so we've been told. We wonder if Kit Harrington, the actor who plays him, will actually look this haggard when he gets older.

Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter

Okay, this one is going to give us nightmares for the rest of our lives. Hands down. Here's everyone's favorite boy wizard played by British actor, Daniel Radcliffe. On the right, it's the crazy grandma from down the road who is constantly throwing cats out of her window.

Seriously though, FaceApp seems to think that Harry Potter has a real feminine look about him, as the older version definitely appears to be an elderly woman. We don't think we'll ever be able to get this image out of our minds; it's been burned into our retinas.

Peter Dinklage

Another one of our favorite Game of Thrones stars, Peter Dinklage! This 50-year-old actor has actually been on the big screen for a lot longer than his award-winning performance as Tyrion Lannister in GoT.

You may also recognize him from movies such as Elf, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and even in Avengers: Infinity War. He's been a busy man, and it certainly shows in the lines on his face and in the color of his hair. However, considering how good he looks now at 50, we can't imagine he'll look this gray and wrinkly until he's at least 101.

The Hulk

We have seen plenty of Marvel Cinematic Universe actors so far that have been FaceApped, but what about their characters? Well, if you've ever wanted to know what Hulk would look like in a few decades time, this is it! Finally, he's got the kind of face and hair that suits the grandad cardigans he seems to be such a fan of.

However, we can't help but notice that he looks a bit like he's fading away… Is this a sign of things to come? Don't worry, there are no Marvel spoilers here! But time has not been kind to our pal, Bruce Banner.

Bruce Lee

It was a sad day when Bruce Lee passed away from a condition called cerebral edema, aged just 32. The Hong-Kong American actor and martial artist was really rising to fame in the 1970s, in movies such as The Big Boss and Fist of Fury, before he was taken away too soon.

However, someone has found a famous photo of Bruce Lee and decided to run it through FaceApp to see what he would have looked like in the future. We can imagine he still would have been starring in Hollywood blockbusters and high kicking his way into our hearts now, at 79 years old.

Chris Hemsworth as Thor

We have already seen what the actor Chris Hemsworth would look like in a few decades time, but what about his Marvel character, Thor? After all, we know that the God of Thunder is at least 1000 years old and looks fantastic.

Give it another few thousand years, and he might start catching up with the looks of his father, Odin who was thought to be around 5000 years old! It seems as though FaceApp has all of the answers for his, and it's quite scary. We guess it can be quite stressful being a god, so it makes sense he's looking a bit worse for wear.

Pharrell Williams

Pharrell Williams is another one of those celebrities who seems never to age since we first heard his catchy songs in The Neptunes and N*E*R*D back in the early noughties. Fast forward to today where he's still releasing hit singles and albums, including winning ten Grammy Awards and being nominated for two Academy Awards.

Running his youthful face through the FaceApp filter seems to bring us some impressive results. He doesn't look much different, does he? Sure, his skin may have lost some of its elasticity, but he still looks amazing. We're not jealous at all. Well, not much.

Kim and Kanye

We have already seen what Kim Kardashian would look like if she aged without much outside help, but here's another insight – and this time, with her husband, Kanye West. Of course, Kim still looks super glamorous, but there is just something so hilarious about what FaceApp thinks Kanye West is going to look like.

His hair is white, his beard his white, and he has some severe lines on his face. We think he has a really kind old man look about him, whereas Kim looks like she will bring you down a peg or two if you accidentally brushed past her. We actually can't wait to see what these two will be like as grandparents.

Drake

On the left, we have the 32-year-old Canadian hip hop artist Drake, looking seriously cool. On the right, we have the much older Canadian hip hop artist Drake, still looking seriously cool. In fact, we actually think that he looks better as an older man!

He's got that kind of peppery look about his hair and beard, that plenty of women swoon over. His face still looks youthful, and his skin certainly isn't sagging like Kanye West's. Perhaps there's something in the water in Canada? Or maybe this is what happens when you're just super polite to everyone?

Lionel Messi

This Argentine soccer player is one of the best in the world at 32 and doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. With the average age of retirement in the sport 35, perhaps Messi doesn't have that much longer left on the pitch – although we have a feeling he may take to coaching or managing teams in the future.

So, what might he look like when he's the manager of his current team, Barcelona, or his country's team, Argentina? Somehow, he actually seems to have grown more hair! We didn't think that was possible after a certain age, but Messi proves anything is possible.

Tyler, the Creator

Tyler Gregory Okonma, known as Tyler, the Creator, is just 28 years old and quickly climbing the charts as the hip hop artist to watch. He may look youthful in the photo on the left, but it's quite clear that time has caught up with him in the picture on the right.

It's incredible how accurate the FaceApp filter can be, especially when you look at things like his teeth, which seem smaller and slightly yellower. He's covered in lines, which we think are the sign of a good life! His eyebrows and the little bit of hair under his hat is peppered with gray, and even his ears look bigger.

Sam Smith

Sam Smith is a 27-year-old musician who rose to fame in the UK back in 2012 before making it big across the pond just two years later. Not only is he known for his incredibly soulful songs, such as 'Stay With Me' and 'Lay Me Down,' but he is a big advocate of the LGBT community.

Back in 2017, he told an interviewer that he felt "just as much a woman as I am a man." We think that time has been incredibly kind to the singer, who looks a little bit like some French fashion designer in this photo. We hope he keeps those earrings to take a picture with again in a few decades!

Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe was another celebrity taken from us too soon, so we never got to see what she looked like as she got older. She was just 36 when she passed away over a suspected overdose, and the whole world mourned one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood.

Luckily, we now have FaceApp to see what she could have looked like if she had lived to be in her 70s or 80s. She may have wrinkles and sagging skin, but there is no denying she still looks like she would have been turning heads in her older years.

Grant Gustin as The Flash

Grant Austin has been playing Barry Allen (AKA The Flash) since 2014 now, and The CW have recently renewed for a sixth season – so he's not going anywhere soon! We've already seen plenty of Marvel characters in this list, but what about a DC Comics favorite?

While Gustin may only be 29 years old now, FaceApp gives us a little bit of an insight into what he may look like as he gets older. With The Flash being such a popular TV show, we could actually see this American actor in it for another few decades. Okay, maybe not, but he could play his father in a prequel?

Marques Brownlee

Marques Brownlee is better known as MKBHD, an American YouTube star has nearly 9 million subscribers and over 1.5 billion video views at the time of writing. He's a new kind of celebrity, who has become famous for shooting videos on all the latest and greatest tech – and we love him for it!

Of course, being a tech blogger means that he was keen to try out this aging app for himself, so run his photo through FaceApp. We actually kind of like what it's done to him! We wonder if he will still be shooting YouTube videos on flying cars and robots by the time he looks like this? It wouldn't surprise us.

Kanye West

Here's another hilarious photo of Kanye West old! We don't know why FaceApp is so determined to make him look like the kind grandfather from down the street, but maybe that's just what Kanye West will look like as he grows up. It may seem like West has been around forever, but he is still only 42.

His debut album, The College Dropout, came out back in 2004 – which makes us feel super old. Of course, he's had his ups and downs in the industry over the last few decades (we'd need a whole article to list even just a few of those), but at least it looks like he's going to grow into a kindly old man.

Britney Spears

Who doesn't love Britney Spears? The 37-year-old singer and actress first bounced onto our screens in the '90s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club, before releasing hit record after hit record. In fact, she's one of the best-selling female pop artists of all time!

She may have taken a little bit of a hiatus and worried a few people with some of her stranger behaviors, but she's back taking the world by storm. Want to know what Britney is going to look like in a few decades? Well, this is it. We imagine she'll still be putting on one of the greatest shows that Vegas has ever seen.

Taylor Swift

Well, this just doesn't seem fair at all. Sure, we know that Taylor Swift is still really young, but surely age is going to hit her harder than that?! In fact, you have to squint just to see the differences between the two photos.

Taylor Swift has broken records for being the youngest ever Album of the Year Grammy winner and the youngest artist ever to be signed by Sony. It also looks like she is going to break records for being the youngest looking old person in the whole of the music industry. We have to know what face cream she is using to get away with so few wrinkles – and very little gray hair.

Considering he is only 25, you'd think that FaceApp would be kind to the Candian singer… However, it doesn't appear to be that way. Perhaps it's because he has wrinkled his face in the first picture or maybe FaceApp knows something that we don't know about how Bieber lives his life.

Either way, his new wife Hailey Bieber might want to rethink her future, or she's going to end up married to a man who looks like this by the time he's 40. Mind you, with a net worth of around $265 million we feel like he could pay to slow down the aging process if he really wanted to.

Billie Eilish

This 17-year-old musician has exploded onto the scene recently, earning herself seven gold and three platinum singles in the few years she has been around. Known for catchy songs like 'Bad Guy' and 'When the Party's Over' this California singer certainly has a bright future ahead of her.

Well, for a while, anyway. According to FaceApp, it's all going to go a little bit downhill for Billie Eilish as she gets older. While she may avoid a single gray hair, her skin tells a different story about her age. It looks like she's had a really rough ride, so we can only imagine it's because she reaches dizzying heights of fame and spends the next few decades without much sleep.

Other than Justin Bieber, it seems as though the Canadians have really got this whole aging thing down. Shawn Mendes is just 20 years old, but by 2018 he became the first artist to nab himself four number-one singles in the Adult Pop Chart at his age.

According to FaceApp, Barbadian singer and actress Rihanna is going to go through a bit of a tough time as she gets older. She's going to turn to eating all of the cakes and then look like this. Apparently. We don't know why the age filter decided to not only make Rih Rih look decades older, but also inches wider.

Luckily, as one of the most successful music artists in the world, with her incredible business ventures like Fenty, we don't think she is going to care much about what she looks like. She'll be rolling in the Benjamins!

The Duchess of Sussex is never too far away from a headline, especially since she married into one of the most famous families in the world. However, that doesn't mean she's safe from the joys of FaceApp. It seems that a royal fan decided to run Meghan Markle's photo through the app to see what she would look like – with hilarious results.

By the time she looks like this, her sister-in-law Kate Middleton will likely be Queen Consort – and William will be King. She might never get any closer to the throne, but at least she'll grow old gracefully. No Royal Family member gets plastic surgery!
